LOL at Mick and while it does look and sound good (for me at least) no airbox costs a horse or three right up to around 10,000 rpm and then makes a horse or two over what it would with an airbox.
However the agony that is removing and replacing the airbox which seems to take longer than the rest of the entire rejet process is the reason I seized my bike last autum. I just kept putting off jetting up again as it's so annoying to get the airbox back on, it got colder and colder, I just left it and paid the price.
Carbs off is no problem, the MJs are easy, the needles (on the '28 ) are a bit of a pain but that bloody airbox was the bane of my life, good ridance to it
