Swap the whole front-end.
Use the wider MC21 ( or an MC18/28 ) wheel, better disks, and 4-pot calipers.
You will need to carefully grind/file back the alloy lock stops on the MC16 frame as the stops on the MC21 triples are in a different location, and you end up with very limited lock.
The downside is if you grind them back too far the handlebars will interfere with the oil tank and trap your fingers, but as I have naturally dumped all that on the F3, it's of no consequence to me!
Just take a little off the stops at a time until you are happy with the compromise between lock and functionality, then stop for a beer!
