Stephen thanks for that peace of mind on the thermostat front!

U referred to the oil feed nipples being at the back of the carbs facing up and in. If these are the ones directly in front of the manifolds when the carbs are fitted on the bike then we are talking about the same ones! When i put the small pipes on these and connect to the oil pump the left hand side pipe is very stretched and seems too short really! Am i trying to do something which is obviously not right?
