Wiring electricals for NSR 50

ah.heng » Fri Apr 27, 2007 4:41 pm

Hi guys,

I bought an ex-racer NSR 50. It comes with no electrics, so I will have to re-fit everything by myself. I will be swapping out the engine for an electric motor, this part I should have no problem with. I've opened up engines before but I rarely toy with the electronics. My previous bike was an MC28 over 3 years ago. Haven't ridden since I sold it.

My question would be, how should I go about handling the wirings for the lights, the ignition key and the batteries?

I'll be having either a 24V or 36V battery configuration (12Volt batteries in series, or parallel, I forget which) with a step down DC/DC converter for the electronics. I suppose I should build a fusebox for the electricals and place it between them and the converter?

Will be grateful if anyone is willing to explain.
Thanks.
