
Tomorrow, again.
I`ve decided it was the suspect head that caused the seizure. I`ve had an "R" head skimmed to "SP" spec to replace it.
Going to clean the carbs out just in case.
My only back up plan is to fit an old ring to the new piston. (Remember, it`s easy to criticise, John, before you start!).
Piston clearance is good, cylinder height okay. Just need to check squish etc.
Whatever happens with the spares at the local shop, I`m going! If the bits turn up on Friday, I`ll take them with me & fit at the circuit.
I`ve sent entries for all of the remaining rounds now. No going back!
