Andy,
I've done the GPS wire splice.
As I was getting slightly differing resistance through the GPS in various gear's (particularly if the lever was moved up/down in a gear), i.e. not a perfect earth,
I disconnected the GPS multi plug and ran the 3rd gear wire from the PGM (light green/green) directly to the battery earth.
I figured it's one variable that I can bypass and therefore eliminate.
1st and 2nd still feel fine - running through '3rd gear'.
Do these bikes (stock) normally pull through 6,7 and 8 thousand rpm in top, from a constant speed situation (ie 60-70 mph)?
Regard's Phil
