If the MC16 is clean and original, with only 1300 miles on the clock, then surely what a great buy? Well looked after and fed on top quality consumables, the bike's got at least 20 good years and 20,000 miles on the crank, if not more! You won't find many MC21's for £1500 you can say that about!
Look at the bikes at Beaulieu last weekend Dave: Rob's MC16 is 20 years old, RobH's and Jeff's MC18's are each 19 years old, Wayne's MC18 18 years old, none of which are original any more, but have given many years of good service. Just because this (virtually new) MC16 is 20 years old, it may only have about a years worth of wear on it!
Difficult to appraise something accurately without physically seeing it, but an MC21 isn't the perfect answer to everyone. (Although it should be!!
