Bodges to get you going

Riding home from work many moons ago on my RD200, the gear linkage broke. Now, I don't know if any of you know the road between Saunderton and Wendover in Bucks, but it's pretty uninhabited, especially 20 years ago at 9pm.

I had to stop by the side of the road and hunt around for materials. I ended up with a coule of sticks wedged in the linkage, and some rotten bailing string holding it together. Worked a treat and got me the half a dozen or so miles home Razz

When fixing the thing properly (weeks later!) I actually found a Yamaha part number on the sticks, and the bailing string was RC Sugo.......possibly!
