Identify carberator

kabal » Sat Jul 14, 2007 8:00 pm

The person who I picked up my mc16 from said that they dont think the carbs on the bike were the original ones.

I see on the jet settings page that the carb is supposed to be a TA10A

The one I have is a Keihin and on the side is stamped "TA 10 A B(with a block around it) A K t(mirror japanese character)"

Now that could be interpreted as TA10B because the B is "selected".

Also what are the intake chambers for? I cant really see how anything is put in them, they are just connected to the top of the intake "manifold"

EDIT: I also have got another set with the bike, disassembled, stamped "TA 10 A A(with a block around it) A J Y(japanese character)"

Thanks
