Dead MC11.......................

philandhisjag » Fri Sep 14, 2007 7:20 am

Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad
My MC11 seized last night on the M62 at j29 (where it crosses the M1) at 90mph... the rear tyre made a right squeal - I grabbed the clutch quick enough not to get thrown down the road (again) though.

Early post mortem results show the 2-stroke tank dry as a bone - the low level light never came on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bulb / wiring / sensor were probably damaged during my recent crash and I never spotted it. I put in 500ml last time I used it too, and it wasn't empty then - between then and the seizure I did around 150 miles?

I didn't think it used up 2-stroke this fast......

Does anyone have a spare motor for sale? Either another MC11 or anything that will fit (NS400?????) and I can wire in? I am a vehicle wiring designer by trade so as long as I have circuit diagrams and the CDI / PGM unit / pipes I can get anything working (theoretically)

Feel free to let me know if you can help
