MC18 PGM help!

Alwyn » Sun Sep 16, 2007 9:04 am

Geez Loise! I serched and searched for posts relating to PGM repair, I know I've seen them on the forum before but can't seem to find it now.

Ok, so the asshole who stole my bike appears to have blown my PGM unit by conecting the forward cyl. rc cables in reverse. SO, what happens is that, when the servo attempts to turn the valves, the front valve recieves a force that will move it to the close position. Since it was already closed, the servo, attempting to open the valves but actually "closing" the front one, broke it's internal drive mechanism and burnt out the circuit for "opening" the rc vlaves.

If I advance the servo by hand the computer will reverse it back to the "closed" or "LO" position but won't open it. Thus I suspect the circuit needs repair of some kind. I have read (here, somewhere) how to replace the components for this specific repair but I need the rundown again.

Help, please help!
