Andy, in general you are correct but there have been 4 genuinely good bike games ever (tarmac racing that is).

No Second Prize on the Amiga.
GP500 on the PC, seen here with some pretty Rothmans graphic mods
Tourist Trophy on the PS2, can't find any NSR footage.
MotoGP-07 on the Xbox360 and PS2, this is a crazy good lap.
