As mentioned a couple weeks ago I'm in So Cal this week and wanted to get together for a ride or two. I'm putting the bike back together today. Tuesday and Thursday looks best for me, but Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday are not out of the question. would really like to do Angeles Crest hwy on Tuesday. How does that look for everybody?
So Anyway, I survived California Superbike School. I'm rustier than I thought I was. I had a big problem with body position. I was afraid the NSR wouldn't survive. I thought it was going lean at high RPM so I backed off at 9k and held it there. Then some girl that used to race 2-strokes told me I was real rich and NSRs always feel like that on top end; she also said NSRs are virtually bulletproof and not to worry about it. So I went for broke and the NSR held up fine. The NSR is a real blast to ride. It can be tossed around and thrashed with virtually no effort. Keep in mind this is the first time I have really ridden this bike and its not sorted at all. The jetting is off and we still have not been able to find the correct rear spring for it.
