Yep, no where to put your helmet is a major downfall of removing the helmet lock

On the '28 the side stand plug needs shorting out or it stalls when you put it in gear.

Define "without side effects", to save loads of weight get rid of the oil pump, the o.e. bodywork and the lights.

Decent iron discs (EBC blue ones are best I've tried) are a big benefit.
