MC21 / MC28 parts, swing arm compatibility......

rgvkiwi » Fri Oct 26, 2007 10:26 pm

Hi Guys

I have access to an MC28 rolling chassis with unsed tyga fairings and step kit etc. Not sure if it's worth trying to acquire it or not....

I have read somewhere here that he MC28 single sided swingarm can fit the MC21 frame with some effort.

Does any one know how just how much effort?

Also is the front wheel, brakes etc the same between them? (my understanding is yes).

Can you relatively easily derestrict the 28 by swapping wiring loom and instruments to the 21 ones?

I am thinking of selling my kitted A-RS250 and going Honda.

For the price of the Aprilia I could almost have an NSR road bike and a dedicated race bike, that would give me access to spare wheels etc....

Cheers

Mark

P.S I am heading to Japan in a couple of days for business, is there anything i should try to buy or source while i am there? (rare / hard to get /cheaper parts etc)
