cheers for the graph andy, matt- i agree strange ideas are the best because although i was thinking of a doing a kx500 ally framed supermoto which we all know would be a hell of a bike its just that i dont think an nsr250 supermoto has been done before it unique and still a hoot to ride, maybe people have never tried this before because it sems too complicated but i think it should be possible and if so im gunna have a go at it.
on another note i have some more elaborate plans which are just pipeline dreams i.e megasquirt fuel injection which has been done on and rz350 and it improved the bottom end and made it very smooth. anyway too many ideas at one time now i just need an engine so if anyone has a nsr250 engine for sale please let me know as i would be interested in buying either a mc21 or an mc28 it doesnt matter if the topend is in a bad way or if it has no top end as i plan on fitting a 300 kit to it.

also i have a question for matt, i was just wondering is the 300cc cylinder and head any taller than the standard setup?
