Guys,
MY MC21 is now having issues starting. It usually takes me a while anyway if it sits for a few weeks (petcock off) but on this colder morning (~50 deg F), it just wouldn't crank over. I decided to just try and ride/bump start the thing down a slight hill but discovered that the clutch felt like it froze. It feels like its stuck in the engaged position regardless of me pulling in the lever. What's weird is that even if I have the bike in nuetral, it still won't kick over. So...
Is the clutch being stuck common for sitting for weeks while cold?
Would this prevent me from starting even if in neutral?
Is there an easy way to "unstuck" the clutch plates without popping off the cover?
Just looking for some tips before I replace the clutch plates which could be worn anyway...
Thanks,
Jae
By the way, my other 2-smokes all seem to not start/run very easily when "colder" outside. But not sure if this is more from sitting or just temp.
Jeez, it's just 50 degrees and in the garage...
