Crank Bearing

SLF-951 » Thu Jan 03, 2008 10:48 pm

Here is a picture of the crank I just got.

Photobucket
(Ahhhh, the pic phone strikes again Andy!)

You can see that a peice of the ball retainer is missing. Now, there's no way this is usable.... Right ?
This is supposed to be out of a 22KM engine. Is that all these last???

Is it ok to replace just one bearing? The others feel very smooth, tight and are quiet when spun. The bad one has no more play than the others, but does sound dry. So, if I can replace the one, can I take it to the local bike shop? Won't be hard for a pro when just doing an outside bearing..???

And if anyone has one, I'd be intrested in buying it.

Thanks, Steve
