I call bullshit!  My MC28 had a dead battery a couple times.  It started with a little persuasion.  not something I would want to do all the time, but it would get going.  Once the bike "charged" the battery, it was fine for the rest of the weekend till i could get a new battery.  Of course this was a race bike, full race harness, etc.  so no extra components like lights, etc. to draw power while trying to push start it.
Oh ye, it will never kick over with a dead battery, just need to push it till you drop, then have a friend push it some more, it'll get going.
