An out of state title would raise questions about the vehicle coming in to California. I was going to buy a NSR that was titled and registered in Nevada but the CA DMV said they would not title that vehicle because the VIN didn't match approved vehicles. The bike used to be registered in California so I thought it would be ok but they didn't care where it used to be registered only where it's registered now.

From what I understand once it leaves California it can never come back.
