whilst messing around in the garage over the x-mas holiday I found out that the mirrors off a V-twin TZR250 fit my MC16 almost the mounts are the same distance apart but the threaded studs are too short so i can't actually get a nut onto the thread to bolt them up. however at least its a start.
now the choice is to attack the mounting frame with a grinder to reduce its width or lenghten the studs
apparently M&P list some pattern mirrors with the same bolt spacing if any one else is struggling to get a good view of the rear

still need to get the engine going yet
