No the resins are quite a bit different. And a lot more toxic! Some of the good stuff yo uneed a decent respirator to use!

The type of resin you use really depends on the application. On the work I have done I have used the same resins on carbon and glass cloth. The nicest stuff to work with is pre-preg, no mess and no fumes.
