The RG500 chassis is ok until you try to do 1 thing and that is go around a corner.
It gets worse if you are going fast too as you really 'feel' the flex in the head stock but what can you expect from a bike whose front forks are only just bigger in diameter than drinking straws from McDonalds ? The front end gets all out of shape from the rest of the bike but it generally behaves. Nothing Mr Spondon, Mr Metmachex and a fat wedge of £££ wouldn't cure.
The RD500 is a pure pig to tune. Weird engine config but it is a true V4 even if they blow up for fun and the bottom end goes kaboom at exactly 20K miles - You could just have it sat on a paddock stand with the rear wheel turning and you - 20K miles and it lets go !!
