I wasn't implying that pattern bodywork is a problem, perhaps I should have said 'OE or Pattern'.

But if I was a first time buyer, I would at least want to know which it was. Particularly if the seller was asking top money for a supposed original OE spec MC21SP, possible ammunition to barter the price down.

Actually IMO, the pattern bodywork from HK / China is much more suited to go onto a MC28, as this is the shape the pattern bodywork I have seen appears to be based on.

Agree that good condition pattern opposed to trashed OE bodywork is better, on any model. I'd still want to know however before parting with hard earned cash, or comparing to other bikes on sale.
