Lol. You boys should all buy yourselves TZRs. You're 'allowed' to talk about anything you like on the TZR forum - someone even posted a pic of a very nice repsol MC28 recently, which we all duly admired.
Come on, Andy. Give the fella's a break. Who cares if someone slavishly follows someone else's jetting and melts their motor? It's a useful lesson learned I'd say... We are all grown ups aren't we?. I post up my settings on the TZR forum whenever anyone asks - it can be very useful to have a rough guide. I've not been sued yet in any case . And it certainly wouldn't cross my mind to 'blame' anyone else if I asked for pointers, they were given, and I popped me motor. Those are the risks that any of us tinkering with a motor understands we are taking when we get into it. It's like signing up for a track day and then trying to sue the organisers when you seize your pride and joy down the back straight
Don't you think you could be being a teensie, weensie bit, well, anal about all this, Herr Fuhrer?
You can't have a stroker forum where the topic of jetting is verboten. It's like saying people can't discuss tyres or gearing or any other fundamental aspect of set-up. Just stick a disclaimer somewhere on the main site if you are seriously worried about people taking internet advice as gospel. Having said that, some of my student's essays do reveal something of a lack of ability to discern between fact and opinion I must say. But that's just the Wikipedia generation, surely? We are all old enough and wise enough to take responsibility for our own actions aren't we? I hope so...
Anyway, Free speech for NSR types!
Let the people have a voice!
Cheers
