The internet is a funny place. Running a website, no matter what it is brings people of all types to you.

I have had threats of having the FBI called on me to report me as a terrorist because of a google ad that was on one of my sites hires a middle eastern in their customer service department (it was a motorcycle dealer).

I think it comes down to wanting to support the motorcycle community, yet limiting what you put/allow out there due to absolute freaks who can't think for themselves.

I am in the process of working on a new site right now that I just know will bring even more of these freaks out of the woodwork, but I think the site will be a nice venue for the target market. And when your offering something for free you got to take the good with the bad. It's just your right as a site owner/admin to "manage" the bad as best as possible to keep it a useable resource that people want to come back to.
