Ok guys, here is some more info from the current owner:
The bike is definitely a 2000. It was Derrick King's B bike when he was riding AMA 250 for the GP Tech team.
The bike was bought 2 ~ 3 years ago but hasn't been raced for the last 1.5 years. The bike has seen little racing since purchased as the current owners A bike has been doing fine.
The top end was rebuilt when purchased and since then has seen little track time. The owner says the bike only has about 1000 miles on it. He says it's the cleanest 2000 he has ever seen. Everything is in excellent condition. The bike has been maintained "race ready" as a B bike.
The bike has never been down hard. It has slight damage on the peg, bar end and lever from a minor low side, low speed. It didn't wear through the bodywork. The frame, swing arm and forks are perfect, no nicks, gouges, etc.
The wheels are perfect and have no marks from changing tires. He says they are the factory wheels and have seen only a few tire changes. The only spares are jets and sprox.
I realize this may be a high asking price but considering how hard these bikes are to find and it's condition, I might have little room to bargain. The owner isn't in a hurry to sell it and feels the bike is worth the asking price. He doesn't seem willing to negotiate.
If I get the bike I'll do a full tear-down and rebuild as I don't trust anyone's work but my own, especially on 2-T Gp bikes. My plans are for racing it next season. I am hoping I can talk him down a bit as I have to ship it from Florida.
