Guys,

In a previous clutch replacement, I re-installed the kickstarter gear assembly wrong (enough to work). I finally got around to cracking open the clutch cover to re-install the assembly properly before I did the top end and of course, I dropped the stupid washer that fits between the engine case and the starter gears! It fell into the tranny hole...

So:

1) Is it easier to just unbolt/pull the tranny and find the washer or just remove the whole engine (I have to do a top end anyway so I don't really mind) and just flip it upside down until the washer falls out?

2) Does anyone have a set of pics that show proper alignment of the kickstarter gear assembly so I can make sure I install it properly this time? I tried to search the workshop and forum but couldn't see anything for this.
