Following on RICHG's post about Fastline.
What you hear is totally true, I spoke with Fastline at great length before flying out to Japan to set up a trading account with an auction agent. I saw first hand NSR after NSR being put into a container bound for Russia. Apparently they have never had such performance bikes before and they're liking it! The condition of the bikes varied greatly and I would imagine that a strong spares/repairs structure is being implemented by some very clever bike shops out there. New Zealand is another popular destination for all things two stroke, unlike Russia they appreciate Yamaha just as much as Honda.
It makes me laugh when I'm on the RD forum and someones spouting off about UK spec bikes being better than their japanese market counterparts....... GET THE BIG PICTURE, THEY'RE RUNNING OUT FAST ENJOY THEM WHILE YOU CAN!!!!!
As you may know, I am currently trying to source and bring in 20 various two strokes ( Honda, Yamaha & Suzuki) in a condition worth having. I went out in late MAY, it is currently late JULY and I only have 12 Bikes so far!!
Like I say, enjoy what you can when you can.
