Ive run mine without the lid. Whilst on full gas it sounds awesome, as with idle and inital crack of the throtle, but light cruising low throttle percentage stuff sounded a bit off. Ive gone back to 'Gods Lid' (lid with holes in it). Performance wise, my arse tells me there isn't much gain if any from a holed lid to no lid.
