One thing with the HRC style stuffers as the shape of the air flow. I saw this on my flow bench.

The stock stuffers gave a sort of square block of air, but the outer petals fluttered. The HRC style opened the petals in an almost oval fashion, but the flow increase and was smoother (no fluttering)
