That's a new one, and something I've never heard of before! Are the CI DVLA not using the same rule book as the UK DVLA? As far as a I am aware now, the speedo in the UK doesn't have to read MPH any more, and don't quote me on it, but I don't think you actually even have to have a speedo any more! (Although if it is there, it has to work.)

With the MC28 instruments being electronic and also a JDM model only, the only way to get it to read MPH would be via the software in the PGM-IV. I would be surprised if the MPH facility isn't built into it as I am sure they would've considered the swipe-card system for other models that would've been destined for the UK and USA etc., but hacking it is way beyond the scope of what's realistic to tinker with I think.
