Get them off

If you haven't got access to an airline with ratchet get yourself down to a local garage that has one - saves rounding off any seized bolt , then you'd be in a world of pain ! Don't recommend you leave them on for powder coating and masking off - inevitably they'll get blasted or coated !!

Apart from that they will strip apart easily.

Is it L or H model you have? Or were you lucky and got an SP set Cool

Have seen this done to several NSR's here , some with 250 some with 400 USD's.

You'll need your 400's re-sprung as the dry weight of the bikes is different but the 250 is similar otherwise you wont be able to set the sag on them right. Worth wile as they will make your front end feel so "planted" Keep in mind your original ride height when setting them up hopefully your looking at only dropping them through the top bridge a few mm to get the same trail as the originals.

Recommend Yamaha fork oil for when your re-building.

Best of luck and want to see pic's of your build

Smile
