You are correct.... A combination of rushing, thinking about one thing and letting your fingers work on something else never works....

I have a couple of questions about your mods
How did you keep the extension perpendicular to the axle?
Did you weld the extension to the original axle?
What material did you use for the axle extension?
Finally, did you use the Honda nut (Left hand thread) or did you make your own?
