Yeah, that could be a problem! I personally mix 10w and 15w fork oil, but I'm a little large compared to the average Japanese rider I imagine!

If you are closer to the ideal weight for an NSR (50~70kg), or if the suspension has been revalved, then 10w is much better as a thinner oil will always work better than a thicker one.
