they are made by showa. the cap can be removed if needed. I would get a good idea how the insides of the forks work prior to just poping them off though. If you can, bring them to a suspension shop and they can service them, as well as probably get the blue tops replaced or may have a place to re-anodize them.

You can use them on an NSR, but it will require some mods. The biggest is the triple tree swap.
