i had spacers made up to fit zxr400 forks to my mc18. they let you use a zxr steerer tube in nsr bearings. i just took the two sets of forks to a local engineering firm and showed them what i wanted fitting where and they had the spacers fitted to the zxr steerer the next day. cost £25.
most engineering firms wouldn't have a problem sorting it.
