The fact M-max got away with selling a boxed wire-splice for about £85 for so many years shows just how little anyone knew about Japanese model bikes for so long. Add that to the fact that when no-one really knew what was in them they also didn't want to waste £85 (+ shipping) just to break one open to find out!

A forum member years ago called Corrie theorised there was nothing but a cockroach in them... he wasn't far wrong!
