The thing is the parts books cover quite a wide range of numbers. No-one other than Honda can tell you how a particular bike left the factory.

I've heard a couple of people claim they've found out, but never seen any hard evidence of it being done. Probably more of a marketing ploy to make their R model with a dry clutch and Magteks appear more valuable to a buyer if they think it's a "genuine" SP!

All a load of rubbish if you ask me.
