But if not attached, it will hang down onto the chain, just above the swingarm pivot, and make a clicking sound as the chain rubs against it. This is an important bracket!
It`s the torque arm that stops the rubber mounted engine from twisting under power.
I think Matt said he had a clicking/clunking noise coming from Pauls bike which he traced to this arm having worn bushes. So, even if it is in place. If it has worn bushes it can cause a noise.
