91 says 750 cc. Not sure if there is a capacity difference between the years. I do know the 2001 calls for .5 liters. Don't have a manual for the model year your asking about. Sorry.

I have used Redline lightweight Shock Proof gear oil as well as Motul 300 gear oil.
