What's wrong with a rebuilt 93~95ish era shock fitted to a late 80's chassis? The rest of the bike is hardly Earth shattering sophistication as we rapidly approach 2010! Confused

Of course, no reason why you couldn't pick up an old Ohlins or similar for a CBR... there must be hundreds of old fully adjustable aftermarket shocks kicking about off ex CBR racebikes out there somewhere, but I do feel it will be pretty much overkill without completely going through the rest of the bike. For example, I have an F3 shock for my MC16, but I also have an HRC swingarm, MC21 Magteks, RS250 forks, and an HRC frame! I think each part of the chassis would be wasted without the rest of it as as much as I love them, the '16 is a bit spindly!
