Knowing you can (and thinking you therefore had already resigned yourself to) rebuild an older shock, that's what my post was based on.

You can pick a CBR600 shock up for about £20... even if you had someone like Maxton rebuild it for £100, that's still a bloody cheap, good shock! If you can rebuild it yourself, even better!

If you subsequently go through the rest of the chassis and eventually find you are being slowed by a £20 CBR600 shock it's hardly the end of the world, and it will have at least served its purpose up until that point!
