Just make sure you run it up til it's at normal operating temp and then check for leaks etc. That's the only reason I run them up... and if Steve had his way the leak test would be done on the way to the dyno I reckon! Why waste time, after all?!
I seem to recall the last leak test on mine was on the way back, and turned out to be a special transmission seal that was called for! We'd already caned it on the dyno for an afternoon by then too!
