There really is nothing wrong with a properly serviced standard setup (with braided lines). Strip, clean and rebuold with fresh bits and you'll be amazed.
Spending a bag of cash will get you more feel, but are you really going fast enough to justify that?
The NSR brake setup is the same as other Honda's of that era, most of which weighed a lot more...
