Before I go that far, I'm going to have a look at the TPS myself just to gain a better understanding of how it works. I'm picturing if I remove it I'll see that it's some type of variable resister (rheostat or potentiometer). My assumption is that either opening or perhaps closing the circuit all together will make the message go away.

If that doesn't get me anywhere, I may ask you to bring your thinking cap or spare parts over if we happen to meet up to go to the Two Stroke Extravaganza.
