Are they round (MC21/MC28) or hexagonal (MC16/MC18) in shape?

Do the heads each have a take-off on top of the main coolant hose union, with a small-bore (about 5mm ID) hose attached? This would almost certainly signify MC16, although MC18 heads bolt straight on to '18 cylinders.

I very much doubt someone will have fitted MC28 barrels and heads to an MC16.
