well it went smoothly this morning at Vicroads, other than having to stamp the VIN into the frame, just got a brief glance over. Guy inspecting it was a bike nut which really helps, especially as he was a 2 stroke fan. First time I rocked up he went through the paperwork no issues, took a look at the bike and said the VIN stamped onto a plate rivited to the frame wasnt good enough and if i could get it stamped on the frame, he would approve the bike. I went off to bunnings to get a stamp kit, then home to do it. Rocked up 3/4hr later. He was free and had everything waiting for me. Looked at the bike, took my money and handed the plate over. I am a happy chappy this morning. Bike is so different to the 16, but then again it does have a new Wilbers rear shock setup for my weight and a rvf400 front end on it so the suspension works a lot better and the handling is fantastic. I find it needs more revs than the 16 to pull away from a stop which is taking a bit of adjustment.
