Hello "Monkey"!

Our "wire splice" as shown in the 250 Tuning section on the Ignition page, is a tried and trusted method. It's crucial however, that the correct side of the orange/blue wire (i.e. the wire FROM the PGM) is soldered to the black/white wire! The orange/blue wire left poking out of the main harness should be left unconnected and its' end taped over. It's also crucial that the black/white wire is not completely severed - only remove enough of the plastic sleaving to solder the orange/blue wire to it.

Go to the Workshop page and check out the "delimited wiring diagram", and carefully study the step-by-step pictures in the Ignition Tuning section to verify the modification was performed correctly.
