Pissing Gas out Of One Exhaust Pipe

RZRob1 » Sun Nov 08, 2009 3:43 pm

So I rescued this NSR (MC28)with a rust sodden fuel tank. When I got the bike it ran, but was pissing gas out of one pipe, obviously firing on only one lung.

I cleaned the carbs, set the float levels (thanks to getting settings from here) and cleaned the tank and sealed with Pors.

Bike runs really well, but when I first start it, until I take it down the street and run it out, it'll still piss gas out of one of the pipes. After clearing it out, you can tell it's now firing on both lungs and she runs great.

What do you think? I've only ridden it a couple times since putting her back on the road, but this seems to be the case. I'm thinking Float Valves might still have a bit of rust behind the spring. Anyone have other ideas?
